Supporting Children with Bereavement
The following websites have a wealth of information about how to talk to children about death and supporting them through a bereavement.
Winston's Wish - Bereavement Support for Children
* Please note that these websites are UK based so the in person support from these charities is not available here - however there is support for children available through the Jersey Hospice.
Family Engagement Worker
We are privileged to have our own Family Engagement Worker who is able to support families at Trinity on a Tuesday and Thursday. Mrs Martin-Foley delivers the Jigsaw Families 6-week programme throughout the year and is also available for an open drop-in and chat 8.30 - 9.30am every Tuesday and Thursday morning, please do pop along. Mrs Martin-Foley is here to support our families and is also very happy to arrange to meet with you separately to talk and support. This doesn't need to be a 'big problem'; it could be related to sleep routines, bedtimes, toileting, school attendance, eating and drinking or behaviour for example, and also signposting to all sorts of support and advice available to families in Jersey.
