We actively promote a creative curriculum as the vehicle for delivering much of our learning and this complements discrete teaching of skills in some areas. We promote outdoor learning and the children enjoy a wide variety of fun, educational visits. Our Curriculum includes:
Art, Design and Technology
PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education)
As the children make the transition from the foundation stage into KS1, they continue to have time for independent learning in the classroom and on the terrace, whilst slowly increasing the time that they take part in more focussed, adult led group activities. We continue to nurture their natural curiosity and have a flexible creative curriculum to allow for child initiated learning.
Key Stage 2 (KS2) is the third phase in a child’s schooling. It is organised into four year groups: years 3 to 6. At Trinity School we have one class per year group. During their time in KS2, the children continue to develop their independence and resilience when learning and are taught to reflect on their progress and set themselves targets. They are given increasing levels of responsibility throughout the years so that their confidence grows, and they are ready for the transition to secondary school.
